WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP?

We will meet with you to define your goals and needs. This meeting is held at the location to be liquidated at a time that is convenient for you and your family.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FIRST MEETING?

We define your goals and needs and assess the contents of the sale. We will determine whether or not there are enough items in the residence to have a profitable sale and which items can be sold. The results of this meeting will help us define whether or not you should have an estate sale, a moving sale, or other type of liquidation event.

DO I PAY FOR A CONSULTATION?

No. Hidden Treasures meets with you to help you understand your goals and needs. Going through an estate sale, move, downsize, or foreclosure can be very difficult. The consultation is FREE of charge and can simply help you understand your options without spending a dime.

FAMILY MEMBERS AND MYSELF WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME OF THE CONTENTS OF THE HOME.
HOW IS THIS HANDLED?

We ask that you and your family identify these items prior to the first meeting with Hidden Treasures. As part of  your estate sale agreement, Hidden Treasures would be happy to assist you and your family to receive the desired items. All personal paperwork from the residence, such as identification documents, bank statements, tax documents, medical bills, etc. should be removed from the house prior to this meeting also. If this is not possible in advance, Hidden Treasures can discuss the options of removing those items prior to the estate sale.

THERE ARE ITEMS THAT WE WANT TO KEEP, BUT DON’T WANT TO REMOVE THEM FROM THE HOME. HOW IS THIS HANDLED?

Any items that you would like to keep at the house will be moved and secured in a designated room in the house and marked as “not for sale”. We place caution tape with “Do Not Enter” signs on any off-limits rooms.

DO I NEED TO RENT TABLES, DISPLAY CABINETS OR CLOTHING RACKS?

No. Hidden Treasures will provide all necessary displays.

IF THE EXECUTOR IS OUT OF STATE, CAN WE STILL HAVE AN ESTATE SALE AND HOW?

Yes! We handle everything through email, fax, and registered mail. If  you are working with a local realtor or with a lawyer, we can go through them as well.

WHAT OTHER SERVICES DO YOU OFFER? 

Hidden Treasures specializes in estates sales, moving sales, downsizing, foreclosures, and cleanouts. We also have a moving service if you need items moved to a new home, apartment, assisted living facility, etc. In the event that your house is on the market or a foreclosing property soon to be on the market, our cleanout service prepares a home for closing.
